Division 510 |
The Thunder Creek Division 510 was originally chartered on February 26, 1897, by Brother John H. Spencer. It was headquartered in Moose Jaw, in what at that time was the county of Assiniboia, in the region known as the North West Territories. Division 510 received its charter some eight years prior to Saskatchewan being formed as the eight province of Canada, on September 1st, 1905. The Canadian Pacific Railroad, the first transcontinental railroad in Canada, under the guiding hand of William Van Horne, pressed westward reaching Moose Jaw in the summer of 1882, on its way to completion in 1885. These short historical facts were authored and supplied by Brother Patrick J. Murphy. |
